The position details are given below: Job Details: Job ID: RQ11305 - Business Analyst - Senior Client : Central Agencies Cluster Location : 222 Jarvis Street Toronto, or 33 King Street Oshawa, Toronto, Ontario Duration: 12 months + Extension Type: Onsite Job Description: Must Have: Leads and conducts business analysis in order to assess client’s business problems/opportunities and document the business requirements in such a way that technology solutions can be determined. Applies re-engineering concepts to promote business improvements through alternative, cost effective service delivery approaches. Leads and conducts business analysis at varying levels of detail, appropriate to the project and phases of project, aligning with OPS Unified Project Management Methodology, Enterprise Architecture and Gating Process, and OPS Standard Systems Development Methodologies. Develops strategies, prepares business cases and cost-benefit analysis, and conducts feasibility studies for business I&IT initiatives. Conducts business modeling; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case surveys; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definition for assigned projects. Have demonstrated flexibility to work within a variety of situations, applying a variety of project methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and Agile, and with various individuals or groups to achieve results, understand and appreciate different and/or opposing perspectives on an issue and adapting your approach to achieve best outcomes. Nice to have: Demonstrated experience with property tax, property assessment, municipal taxation, or tax analysis systems. Experience with Ontario's Online Property Tax Analysis (OPTA) application is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities
