On behalf of our Government Service client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst - Senior for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

BUSINESS ANALYST - SENIOR - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role involves working on enterprise transformation and modernization projects within the Ontario Public Service, focusing on the implementation of enterprise architecture frameworks and agile methodologies. The Business Analyst will play a key role in facilitating business improvements and service delivery enhancements.

BUSINESS ANALYST - SENIOR - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Knowledge and experience with Agile Information and Information Technology (I&IT) methods
  • 10 years of experience working as a Business Analyst
  • Strong Agile and Waterfall experience
  • Experience developing functional and non-functional requirements
  • Experience with MS Office - PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Azure DevOps / Jira
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication skills

BUSINESS ANALYST - SENIOR – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience in the use of information retrieval packages
  • Knowledge of Information Management principles
  • Experience with business functional modeling and business process mapping
  • Experience with structured, object-oriented, and agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA)
Responsibilities
  • Provides a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs
  • Interacts with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand and document business requirements
  • Prepares and advises on business analysis policies, processes, best practices, and standards
  • Leads and conducts business analysis to assess client’s business problems/opportunities
  • Applies re-engineering concepts to promote business improvements
  • Develops strategies, prepares business cases, and conducts feasibility studies for business I&IT initiatives
