BUSINESS ANALYST - SENIOR

On behalf of our Government Sector client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst - Senior for a 5-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

BUSINESS ANALYST - SENIOR - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role involves providing comprehensive I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs. The project focuses on understanding and documenting business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and supporting energy management and asset management within Ontario’s utility market.

BUSINESS ANALYST - SENIOR - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 8–10+ years’ experience in business analysis and documentation
  • Experience with energy and asset management tools
  • Familiarity with Ontario’s utility market
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Experience with technology, data, databases, and applications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

BUSINESS ANALYST - SENIOR – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience with Ontario Hydro or Toronto One
  • Knowledge of the Ontario K-12 education system
  • Familiarity with emerging I&IT trends and technologies
  • Understanding of AODA and related standards
  • Experience with CASE tools for documenting requirements
Responsibilities
  • Conduct requirements gathering, develop documentation, and engage stakeholders
  • Prepare and advise on business analysis policies, processes, and best practices
  • Lead business analysis to assess client’s business problems/opportunities
  • Develop strategies, prepare business cases, and conduct feasibility studies
  • Conduct business modeling and data flow modeling
  • Monitor progress, resolve problems, and report to I&IT management
