Description

The Opportunity

The organisation currently operates across a range of systems, databases and spreadsheets, with varying levels of integration and manual intervention required to maintain important employee information.

The objective of this initiative is to establish greater confidence in the quality, consistency and accessibility of people data, while improving the processes that support its ongoing management.

You will be responsible for:

  • Mapping existing HR and people-related business processes, systems and data flows.
  • Working with HR stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand how employee information is captured, maintained and transferred across the organisation.
  • Identifying process inefficiencies, data inconsistencies, duplication, manual workarounds and system integration gaps.
  • Assessing existing data quality and supporting data cleansing activities.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve data governance, accuracy and consistency.
  • Developing a prioritised roadmap of process and data improvements.
  • Working collaboratively with project management, technology and business teams to implement agreed improvements.
  • Supporting the development of sustainable processes to maintain data integrity over the longer term.
  • Ensuring critical people data requirements are understood and aligned with broader workforce identity and technology initiatives.

About You

You are a hands-on Business Analyst who enjoys getting into the detail, understanding how processes and systems operate in practice, and translating findings into tangible business improvements.

You will ideally bring:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst across HR, people data, workforce systems or enterprise data improvement initiatives.
  • Strong business process mapping and analysis capabilities.
  • Experience identifying data quality issues, inconsistencies and opportunities for data cleansing.
  • An understanding of how data moves between systems, including integrations, spreadsheets and manual processes.
  • The ability to engage with business stakeholders and extract information where processes are not formally documented.
  • Experience developing practical recommendations and prioritised improvement roadmaps.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, ideally with exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and drive activities through to implementation.

Experience working within complex organisations with multiple workforce-related systems will be highly regarded.

The Opportunity

  • Join a significant enterprise transformation initiative.
  • Play a key role in improving the quality and reliability of organisational people data.
  • Work across business, HR and technology stakeholders.
  • Influence the design of improved processes and data management practices.
  • Initial contract through to 30 June, with potential for further opportunities.
  • If you are a Business Analyst who enjoys solving complex business problems and delivering meaningful process and data improvements, we'd love to hear from you. ••••@sharpandcarter.com.au
