QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience:
• Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies and process modeling.
• Experience with project estimation, planning, and forecasting.
• Hands-on experience documenting requirements for software projects.
• Ability to create test plans and test cases with business partners.
• Prior state government experience is a plus.
• Other Requirements:
• Must be local to Michigan.
• Reliable personal transportation for occasional travel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Lansing, MI. The Business Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders, document requirements, and support technology initiatives to improve processes and systems. This role is best suited for someone with strong communication skills, organizational ability, and proven experience in business analysis within IT or software projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Develop process models and recommend process improvements.
• Assist with project estimation, planning, and forecasting.
• Work with subject matter experts to organize and develop test plans and test cases.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Travel occasionally to nearby offices as needed (mileage reimbursement available).
