Business Analyst  Location: Beachwood, OH Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (Onsite 4 days a week)   Position Summary:  A Penske Logistics Business Analyst manages multiple streams of data, develops visualizations, and implements strategic solutions. This work brings insights, which drives actions for the larger team. This role supports one account in the Supply Chain Management division of Penske. Good communication, time management, and attention to detail are essential. This role frequently collaborates with other groups to find solutions and share best practices in data management and visualization, and it requires cross-functional engagement with both internal and external stakeholders. A successful Business Analyst provides tactical support to enhance the strategic mission of the team, ensuring customer goals are met, in partnership with leaders and colleagues. They are enthusiastic about data, metrics, and logistics. Data management, including modeling and cataloguing, is their expertise. They are curious thinkers, creative problem solvers, and are eager to grow their career in a supportive and highly collaborative environment. Major Responsibilities:   * Gathers and evaluates customer requirements and develops solutions that fit stakeholder needs. * Manages data streams for enhanced reporting capabilities. * Understands data structure and business context well enough to join and blend data where necessary. * Maintains advanced reports, dashboard visualizations, and workflows. * Manipulates and prepares data, including using ETL tools (such as Alteryx, Tableau Prep, or Talend) to clean and load data into SQL databases or flat files. * Builds new solutions or leverages existing templates to create meaningful insights for internal and external stakeholders. * Handles own time management, including project timelines, while balancing recurring tasks and projects. * Communicates clearly and provides regular updates to team members, stakeholders, etc. as it applies to project progress. * Uses Lean tools and other skills to improve processes, isolate root cause of problems, and find solutions for customer requests. * Thoroughly tests and vets all completed work before it reaches the end user, ensuring continuity of reporting across platforms. * Resolves situations quickly, communicating status of problems, and working with the appropriate subject matter experts, as needed, to find solutions. * Documents processes and creates standard operating procedures, providing training to various audiences on processes and changes. * Examine current processes and implement or recommend improvements to drive out waste and improve processes. * Use discretion and independent judgment to answer requests and propose solutions with accuracy and confidence. * Other tasks as assigned by manager.    About Penske Logistics Penske Logistics engineers state-of-the-art transportation, warehousing and supply chain management solutions that deliver powerful business results for market-leading companies.
