This role sits within the Supply Planning & Trading team (SP&T) and forms the key interface between the different product categories, operations and the markets commercial and strategic teams.
We are looking for a Business Analyst who will not only support the daily business and enable a fast and data driven decision making process but also contribute to the success and sustainable growth of the different product categories through data modelling and hypothesis testing on the main strategic building blocks. Hence, the candidate will bring strong analytical skills combined with a great commercial understanding in a fashion business environment. The candidate will report to the SP&T Head and work closely with multiple cross-functional teams.
Translate data into actionable insights for the business and hence maximize potential and improve accuracy on the decision making process, supported by data visualization and storytelling;
Collaborate with multiple data teams across Zalando by incorporating the different datasets from multiple sources to identify opportunities which aim to support the determination of strategic growth levers and initiatives to drive our business forward;
Be responsible for all aspects of data availability, consistency, and quality of the data into and within the reports that you build, seeking continuous maintenance, automatization and improvement;
Develop a strong understanding of business processes, tools (e.g. ANAPLAN), and the overall data landscape enabling supply’s trading and steering;
Bring the data-driven analytical approach into supply’s short and mid-term trading by generating hypotheses and test them by performing descriptive, exploratory and quantitative analyses. You know when a hypothesis can only be tested by an experiment, and you can help create and drive them;
Be a reliable partner for our Merchandising, Markets and Finance teams when related to reporting and analytics, and support your immediate team with more complex analysis;
Support project based analytic requests and create transparency on the different implications on overstock, sales and profitability or on other teams/functions;
Build up on your curiosity and foster recommendations on potential solutions/projects that enhance the customer experience through great assortment;
You have a hands-on mindset and are always willing to support your team and tackle ad-hoc requests and business cases from stakeholders
