Our seeds help mitigate risks such as disease, insect, weed, and extreme weather pressures, all while promoting sustainable farming practices that protect and enhance our planet. Join our mission of revolutionizing food security and transforming agriculture. Job Description At Syngenta, our goal is to build the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture, providing top-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that improve farmers' success. To support this mission, Syngenta’s Analytics & Data Sciences Team is seeking a Business Analyst. Syngenta is building the next generation of digital tools that transform how seeds are developed, tested, and brought to market globally. As a Business Analyst, you will sit at the center of that work — translating complex scientific and business needs into digital solutions that reach farmers worldwide. This role is expected to independently lead analysis efforts, working across business, product, and technical teams to drive clarity, alignment, and progress in a fast-moving, multi-stakeholder environment. Accountabilities: Requirements & Backlog Ownership Own end-to-end requirements capture, refinement, and backlog management for assigned areas. Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications. Ensure requirements are complete, testable, and aligned to product and technical constraints. Maintain strong traceability from requirements → development → testing → release. Workflow & Process Design Lead workflow and process design across complex, cross-functional use cases. Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and risks in proposed workflows and drive alignment to resolution. Work across stakeholders to standardize and simplify processes where possible. Ensure workflows are scalable across crops, regions, and user groups. UAT & User Readiness Define and support execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Ensure business requirements are fully validated prior to release. Partner with stakeholders to ensure clarity, confidence, and readiness for system adoption. Identify readiness gaps and escalate risks that may impact rollout timelines. Stakeholder Leadership & Coordination Act as the primary point of contact for analysis within the assigned scope. Lead discussions with SMEs, product, and technical teams to drive decisions and alignment. Ability to challenge assumptions, surface trade-offs, and push for clarity when needed. Coordinate across global teams, crops, and functions to ensure consistency and alignment. Qualifications PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must reside in and be permanently authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. This comprises, but is not limited to, OPT, CPT, and H-1B visa holders. Required: Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Agriculture is required. Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in digital/IT/product environments. Strong ability to: Structure and document complex requirements. Lead discussions and workshops with varied stakeholders. Translate between business and technical perspectives. Demonstrated ability to own and drive work independently. Demonstrated technical aptitude with a proven ability to pick up new tools and technologies. Desired: Exposure to system integrations and cross-platform dependencies. Experience supporting large-scale rollouts or system implementations. Experience with tools like Confluence and Jira.
