Business Analyst – R2R / Finance Systems

The role

On behalf of our client, we're seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support and improve core finance processes — general ledger, month-end and year-end closing, reconciliation, and financial reporting — in an environment running several different finance/ERP systems side by side. You'll work closely with finance and process stakeholders, turning business needs into practical system and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Review current finance processes and pinpoint where they can be simplified or standardised across systems
• Support better ways of working around ledger management, closing, reconciliation, and reporting
• Work directly with finance teams to smooth out month-end and year-end activity
• Bridge the gap between finance stakeholders and technical teams on relevant projects
• Help document how finance data moves and connects across different systems
• Support accuracy and consistency of financial data as processes evolve
• Help assess how process or system changes ripple across the wider business

What we're looking for

• Solid track record as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst with real depth in finance process work (ledger, closing, reconciliation, reporting)
• Comfortable working across more than one finance or ERP system
• Confident acting as the link between finance, business, and technical teams
• Strong analytical and requirements-gathering skills
• Fluent English (no German required)
• Open to relocating to the Greater Munich area, or working remotely with regular on-site collaboration
