Job Description / The Role -
We have a new opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Retail & Consumer Finance Team. You will have the opportunity to prepare both financial and non-financial reports and KPI’s as well as provide insightful analysis to the business that improves the ability to make informed decisions.
This role is responsible for supporting the Management team that ensures a standard of excellence with respect to the integrity of data, timeliness of reporting, efficiency of procedures, teamwork and a collaborative service orientated approach. The role will also support the standardisation and simplification of key financial processes across a diverse stakeholder group.
Duties & Responsibilities / a day in the life of a Business Analyst –
- Gather and organise financial data from various sources like warehouse management systems, accounting systems and spreadsheets.
- Perform data analysis tasks for both external customers and internal stakeholders and help identify trends in information.
- Contribute to maintaining internal controls and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Collaborate with other departments (like sales or accounts payable) to obtain necessary financial information.
- Assist Senior Analysts / Commercial Manager in creating financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to maintaining internal controls and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Actively learn from senior analysts / Commercial manager and participate in training opportunities to develop technical and analytical skills in financial reporting.
- Stay up-to-date on basic accounting principles and relevant financial reporting procedures.
- Previous and proven experience within a similar role within Transport/Logistics industry.
- An analytical mind-set – strong ability to problem solve.
- Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal.
- Computer literacy skills – MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines within a time-pressured environment.
