Description
Working with a major global consulting firm to find a senior Business Analyst with deep Guidewire and general insurance experience. This role supports the rollout of a new Line of Business for a leading Australian general insurer, working across business stakeholders, Guidewire implementation teams, and integration partners. It will suit a BA who has shipped new product launches on Guidewire before and is confident operating in a fast-moving transformation environment. About the Client The client is a major global consulting firm delivering complex digital transformation programs for some of Australia's largest enterprises. This engagement supports an established general insurer on the launch of a new digital insurance product, working across a Guidewire-based platform with strong delivery practice and senior stakeholder engagement. What you'll be doing Engage with business stakeholders to capture, analyse, and document end-to-end requirements for a new general insurance LOB Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria aligned with Guidewire capabilities Support definition of product configuration, underwriting rules, rating logic, and policy lifecycle requirements Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and design validations with business and IT stakeholders Work alongside Guidewire implementation teams (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter as applicable) to ensure accurate interpretation of requirements Support functional design reviews, configuration decisions, and solution alignment with Guidewire best practices Identify gaps between business needs and out-of-the-box Guidewire functionality, and recommend pragmatic solutions Collaborate with integration teams across upstream and downstream systems Act as a single point of contact for functional alignment between business users, product owners, and delivery teams Support test strategy definition, test case reviews, and UAT execution from a business perspective Assist business users during UAT, defect triage, and prioritisation Validate delivered functionality against agreed requirements and support production readiness 8-12+ years experience as a Business Analyst in insurance domain transformations Hands-on experience in Guidewire implementations across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter Strong exposure to new product or new Line of Business rollouts within general insurance Solid understanding of general insurance concepts including product definition and coverage, underwriting and rating, policy lifecycle (Quote, Bind, Issue, Endorsement, Renewal, Cancellation), claims, and billing Experience working in Agile, SAFe, or Scrum delivery environments Proficient in producing BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, or equivalent Desirable Skills Experience with Australian insurance products Prior experience supporting digital or direct-to-customer insurance products Exposure to Guidewire Cloud implementations Understanding of integration architectures and data flows Experience supporting offshore-onshore delivery coordination Strong facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills About Towcha People Towcha People is an Indigenous-owned recruitment business with a strong focus on fair access to opportunity.
