Business Analyst Permanent, Full-Time CUPE 702.2 Posting Expiry: Friday, June 12, 2026 Reason for Posting: Vacancy The Corporation of the Town of Tecumseh is currently recruiting for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Business Analyst in the Technology & Client Services Department. Job Summary Reporting to the Manager Information Technology, the Business Analyst is a critical bridge between Technology & Client Services (TCS) and its client groups. The Business Analyst supports client needs, negotiates and builds consensus between different client groups with diverse goals, and ensures that technical solutions meet business needs/objective, corporate strategic directions, and capabilities delivered by TCS. The result is project delivery that improves business operations and brings the greatest business value to the organization. The Business Analyst will also co-ordinate training opportunities for new and existing users for all applications utilized by the Town including Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence. Experience & Qualifications • Minimum of a College Diploma in Computer Science, Business/Accounting or a related discipline as deemed by the Employer– required (University Degree is preferred) • Minimum of three (3) years recent and relevant experience in a Business Analyst role – required • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), ITIL, COBIT and PMP designations preferred – asset • Experience working in the Municipal or broader public sector – asset The successful candidate will have demonstrated project management skills and proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems or products. In addition, knowledge of computer literacy and proficiency utilizing Project Management software and adaptability to program specific software; along with knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, teamwork, initiative/self-management, accountability, flexibility and adaptability. The preferred candidate will have a strong work ethic and a valid G Driver’s License with access to a vehicle.
