OverviewAn established financial services organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Business Analyst to join its Change function in Newcastle.

This is a varied role focused on understanding business needs, gathering and translating requirements, improving processes and supporting the successful delivery of technology and business change initiatives.

You'll work closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, Project Managers and technical teams to understand problems, challenge existing processes and ensure proposed solutions deliver genuine business value.

The position would suit a confident and organised Business Analyst who enjoys working across different teams, facilitating workshops and taking ownership of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges and improvement opportunities• Gather, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements• Map existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement• Produce clear documentation, including Business Requirements Documents, process flows, use cases and user stories• Facilitate workshops, interviews and stakeholder meetings to gather and validate requirements• Translate business requirements into practical solutions for development and technical teams• Support solution design, development, testing and implementation activities• Conduct impact assessments and support organisational change initiatives• Work across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments to support successful project outcomes• Review implemented solutions, assess their effectiveness and identify further improvements

Requirements• Minimum 3 years of commercial Business Analysis experience• Strong experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements• Proven ability to map, review and improve business processes• Experience producing user stories, process flows and requirements documentation• Confident facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders across different business functions• Experience supporting business change, transformation or technology projects• Understanding of Agile, Scrum and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies• Strong communication, analytical thinking and stakeholder management skills

• Desirable• Previous experience within financial services, wealth management or investment platforms• Experience working within a regulated environment• Experience using Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps or Microsoft Visio• Understanding of the software development lifecycle• Relevant Business Analysis qualifications or certifications
