ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced team of Business Analysis professionals, renowned across the University for their dedication to customer service, stakeholder engagement, and innovative thinking.
The team is part of the iSolutions IT Portfolio, which plays a pivotal role in driving successful change across the University. As a Business Analyst, you will support initiatives spanning the Education, Research, and Professional Services portfolios. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders from these areas, as well as with colleagues across iSolutions—including Project and Change Managers—to conduct requirements analysis, document current and future system and operational states, develop options papers, and contribute data to support evidence-based business cases.
This role is primarily based at 1 Guildhall Square in central Southampton. However, it will involve travel to, and occasional co-location with, other teams across the University’s UK campuses in Hampshire to support Business Analysis activities. We promote a flexible working environment and support hybrid working arrangements. The role requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the office during the first month, reducing to 1 day per week after that.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Leverage your expertise in business and systems analysis, along with strong interpersonal skills, to identify business needs, enhance operational efficiency, and shape future technical solutions.
  • Accurately capturing current and future working practices by eliciting, analysing, validating, and mapping systems and processes; clearly define requirements, acceptance criteria, and the associated business benefits.
