Description

This intermediate level Business Analyst role sits within the Integration Platform team, helping define how customers and partners integrate with Vista systems through APIs.

Work closely with product, engineering, and architecture teams to translate integration and data requirements into clear specifications that support scalable and secure API-based solutions. This role is ideal for someone with strong BA fundamentals and a good understanding of APIs, data, and platform-based systems.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support discovery, scoping, and requirements gathering for integration and API-driven initiatives
  • Work with product, engineering, and other SMEs to clarify integration use cases and data requirements
  • Contribute to defining API requirements, data mappings, and user stories
  • Assist in analysing data to ensure it is exposed in a clear and usable way via APIs
  • Support the definition of integration flows between Vista systems and external platforms (e.g. partners, third-party services)
  • Capture and document non-functional requirements such as security, performance, and scalability
  • Facilitate workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity of requirements
  • Produce clear and structured artefacts including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and documentation

Requirements

About you

  • Proven experience gathering and documenting requirements relating to software delivery APIs and integrations
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to break down problems into structured solutions
  • Confident communicator who can engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in evolving environments and adapting to new problem areas

Technical and domain capabilities

  • Good understanding of APIs and integration concepts (REST or similar)
  • Exposure to working with data structures or databases
  • Understanding of how systems interact and integrate, even at a high level
  • Awareness of non-functional requirements such as security and performance

Core skills

  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working in Agile teams
  • Ability to clearly communicate requirements and work through feedback with engineering teams
  • Good stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
  • Structured approach to requirement gathering, documentation, and validation

What success looks like

  • Deliver clear, well-structured requirements that enable engineering teams to build effectively
  • Develop a strong understanding of APIs, data, and integrations over time
  • Proactively identify gaps or inconsistencies in requirements or data
  • Contribute to building solutions that are consistent and reusable where possible
  • Grow into thinking about platform and integration design, supported by senior team members
