The Opportunity
We are excited to offer a 12-month max-term opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our dynamic Consumer team at Vocus. This role will be based in our Melbourne or Sydney office and reports into Product Owner. The Business Analyst plays a critical part in delivering strategic initiatives and driving impactful change across the Vocus Consumer business.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Business Analyst, you’ll be the key person working between the business needs and technical solutions, which help shape the future of our consumer business offerings.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE:

  • Partnering with stakeholders across Technology and business units to gather, validate, and prioritise requirements.
  • Translating complex business challenges into clear, actionable insights and documentation.
  • Facilitating workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs to uncover business needs and pain points.
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed documentation, including version control of artefacts and analysis outputs.
  • Mapping current-state (as-is) and designing future-state (to-be) processes.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and ensuring proposed solutions address key areas of enhancement.
  • Supporting other duties as directed by the company.
    What you’ll bring to this role

We’re looking for a skilled and driven Business Analyst who brings a mix of strategic thinking, technical know-how, and strong stakeholder engagement. To thrive in this role, you’ll have:

  • 5+ years of end-to-end Business Analysis experience in a similar fast paced environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across teams.
  • Strong documentation capabilities, including business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Expertise in user story mapping and persona-driven requirement gathering techniques.
  • Solid understanding of BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) and familiarity with BABOK tools and frameworks.
  • Industry experience in Power, Gas, Electricity, or Telecommunications is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messaging for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Confidence operating at both strategic and operational levels, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
