On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst w QA Testing - Payments (Banking) for a 5-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3-4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

BUSINESS ANALYST W QA TESTING - PAYMENTS (BANKING) - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role involves leading the analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements for the Real Time Rail program, focusing on upgrading APIs for real-time settlement. The candidate will ensure compliance with governing regulations and contribute to the success of Payments & Core Banking Engineering globally.

BUSINESS ANALYST W QA TESTING - PAYMENTS (BANKING) - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• 8-9 years of experience in business process mapping and system analysis
• 3-4 years of experience with QA testing
• Knowledge of conducting gap analysis on different payment standards
• Proficiency in using Jira / Confluence/ MS Office
• Core analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Self-motivated and results-oriented

BUSINESS ANALYST W QA TESTING - PAYMENTS (BANKING) – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Payments Domain Knowledge
• Experience working in Agile project methodology
• Experience in the Banking/Financial industry
• Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
• Ability to quickly adapt and manage multiple priorities

• Lead the analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams
• Translate business needs into functional requirements and user stories
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions for requirement gathering
• Contribute to payment process design and optimization
• Support scrum master and project manager in planning and scoping
• Perform gap analysis, root cause assessments, and release readiness reviews
• Act as a subject matter expert for payments-related projects
• Monitor post-implementation performance and incident resolution
• Mentor and coach less experienced team members
