This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 4 years Location: Chennai JobType: full-time We are looking for a detail-oriented and impact-driven Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders across business, product, engineering, and operations to analyze requirements, optimize processes, and deliver data-backed insights that drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience translating complex business problems into actionable solutions. Key Responsibilities Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and requirements, and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications. Conduct end-to-end requirement gathering using techniques such as workshops, interviews, user stories, and process mapping. Analyze existing business processes, identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, and recommend scalable solutions. Create detailed documentation including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, and workflow diagrams. Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, QA teams, and designers to ensure accurate implementation of requirements. Support the development lifecycle by validating solutions, participating in UAT, and ensuring deliverables meet business expectations. Use data analysis and reporting to identify trends, measure performance, and support business decisions. Act as a key point of contact between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment, clarity, and timely communication. Assist in change management by supporting rollout plans, user training, and documentation. Required Skills & Competencies 4–10 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in a product-based, consulting, or enterprise environment. Strong expertise in requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and business scenarios. Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, or similar business analysis and reporting tools. Ability to create process flows, wireframes, and functional diagrams using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or Figma (basic level). Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in data-driven decision-making, KPIs, metrics, and performance analysis is a plus. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. MBA or relevant certifications (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) are a plus but not mandatory.
