This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 3 years Location: India JobType: full-time We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to engage with stakeholders across trading, supply chain, analytics, and operations to define, analyze, and document business requirements. The role involves translating business needs into actionable specifications, collaborating with technical teams, and driving process improvements to support data-driven decision-making and product development. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Management Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across trading, supply chain, analytics, and operations. Prepare and maintain comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and process flows. Ensure requirements are clear, traceable, and aligned with both business goals and technical feasibility. Technical & Product Collaboration Translate business needs into technical specifications for engineering, data, and product teams. Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring alignment throughout the development lifecycle. Support Agile/SDLC processes including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and requirement clarification. Domain & Market Intelligence Leverage knowledge of agri-commodities, pricing drivers, seasonality, logistics, and trade flows to inform product and analytics requirements. Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to define data inputs, outputs, and success metrics for forecasting, dashboards, and predictive models. Process Improvement & Analysis Analyze existing workflows and systems, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and recommend scalable improvements. Support automation, digitization, and analytics-driven decision frameworks across business functions. Testing & Validation Work with QA teams to design test scenarios and acceptance criteria based on documented requirements. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate solutions against BRDs and functional expectations. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for business rules, data definitions, workflows, and feature specifications. Prepare structured insights, summaries, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership. Required Skills & Qualifications Must-Have Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, Agriculture/Agri-Business, Finance, or a related field. 3–7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst, preferably in agri-commodities, commodities trading, supply chain, fintech, or analytics-driven environments. Strong hands-on experience in creating Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and other BA artifacts. Solid understanding of SDLC and experience working in Agile environments. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex business and technical concepts. Strong analytical mindset with experience in Excel, SQL, or Python for data analysis. Comfortable working with data-driven products, APIs, system integrations, and cloud-based platforms (conceptual understanding is sufficient). Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, data scientists, and product managers. Preferred / Domain Knowledge Understanding of agri-commodities markets, pricing mechanisms, supply chains, logistics, and regulatory considerations. Exposure to market analytics, forecasting, or trading platforms is a strong advantage.
