HOW WILL I HELP?
Online Share Trading is designed for self-directed investors seeking access to trade securities across a wide range of domestic and international markets. The Online Share Trading business is undertaking a period of transformation to better meet the needs of more Westpac customers.
T he Business Analyst will play an integral and exciting role in the delivery this exciting transformation.
You will also be responsible for:
- Capturing, documenting, and validating requirements with business sign off
- Work with business SMEs and other key stakeholders to effectively document current and future state business and functional requirements
- Undertake gap analysis; determine current and future state processes and impacts to clients and business
- Writing procedures, processes and documentation for new systems and enhancements
- Interpreting customer needs and translating them into application and operation requirements.
- Ensure all necessary project documents and deliverables are completed and retained as required
- Supporting updates to the Online Share Trading value chain (processes and risk profile)
- Defining functional user stories and acceptance criteria
- Liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and service providers to identify solutions to complex problems
- Capture learnings and the Intellectual Property through Knowledge Management and reapplying these learnings for future projects
WHAT DO I NEED?
We are looking for a confident Business Analyst with demonstrated experience in agile product delivery, stakeholder management and strong attention to detail. Our ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable with ambiguity and thrives in an organic environment, knows how to collaborate to achieve desired outcomes and challenges the status quo to deliver great value to our customers and our business.
We’d love to hear from experienced business analysts, ideally familiar with wealth management, platforms or investments, together with:
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis in financial services
- Experience with requirements gathering and documentation
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Agile and traditional project delivery tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Strong teamwork skills and an ability to work as part of a high performing team
- Experience finding effective solutions in complex environments
- Self-starter comfortable working with autonomy
- Demonstrated hands on experience in managing and achieving results from medium complexity projects, embedded project deliverables and working closely with business stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
