OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with experience in Commercial Lending, ideally with knowledge of ACBS (Automated Commercial Banking System), to support a large-scale loan servicing modernization initiative. The BA will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, technology teams, and external vendors to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and support solution design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis
  • Collaborate with business users to elicit and document detailed business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Analyze current-state processes and systems, especially in Commercial Lending and Loan Servicing.
  • Translate business needs into clear specifications, process flows, and use cases.
  • ACBS-Specific Activities (Preferred)
  • Understand and document ACBS data structures, screens, and loan accounting features.
  • Assist in mapping legacy AFS or other systems to ACBS as part of data conversion or integration.
  • Validate ACBS configurations and parameter settings align with business needs.
  • Documentation & Communication
  • Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Facilitate walkthroughs and requirement review sessions with stakeholders and tech teams.
  • Support UAT planning, test case validation, and defect triaging.
  • Cross-functional Coordination
  • Liaise between business units, technology teams, QA, and external vendors.
  • Ensure that deliverables align with business goals, compliance requirements, and project timelines.
  • Support data mapping, interface definitions, and batch processing workflows where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Commercial Lending or Loan Servicing domains.
  • Strong understanding of Commercial Loan products (Syndicated Loans, Term Loans, Revolvers, Participations, etc.)
  • Experience working with Loan Accounting systems such as ACBS (preferred), AFS, LoanIQ, or similar.
  • Familiarity with loan booking, servicing, accounting, payments, rate changes, collateral, and covenant tracking.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with ACBS migration or implementation projects.
  • Exposure to data conversion from legacy systems to ACBS.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements in Commercial Lending (e.g., SOFR transition, risk ratings, MRA handling).
  • Experience working with technical teams on API or batch interface definitions.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
  • MBA or certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
