WSP offers a permanent position as a business analyst reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Operational Performance and Strategic Initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leading analytical support for all aspects of WSP's operational performance, as well as directly supporting a variety of strategic analysis.

This position requires close collaboration with the various WSP teams in both corporate and global operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of autonomy and ability to work in a changing environment. Initially, the role will be totally focused on the realization of projects, then, in the medium term, will be added recurring tasks related to the analysis of the organizational performance.

This is a prominent and vital position that offers excellent development opportunities due to exposure to a variety of topics, diverse teams and close work with senior management. The job requires occasional travel abroad.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support various projects under the responsibility of the Senior Vice-President, Operational Performance and Strategic Initiatives. During the first six months, the tasks will essentially be as follows:
  • Support various initiatives related to the financial and operational performance assessment;
  • Conduct analysis of and monitor the competitive environment;
  • Support the budget process;
  • Support business intelligence initiatives.
  • Implement tools and strategies to translate raw data into relevant business information.
  • Identify the main drivers of performance and catalysts for risks and opportunities assessment.
  • Contribute to meetings with regional and international operations.
  • Support the senior management team in key decision-making processes.
  • Support the execution of special projects.
  • Support the achievement of certain initiatives of the 2019-2021 strategic plan.
  • Support the preparation of presentations to / from senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree, preferably in accounting or finance.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in business analysis.
  • Graduate degree in business analysis and / or strategy, an asset.
  • Strong understanding of the general concepts of financial analysis.
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous assignments.
  • Ability to apply business perspectives and experiences to target opportunities or risks.
  • Detail oriented person with strong technical, analytical and systems skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel, financial modelling and reporting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Speaking fluently languages other than French and English is an asset (but not a necessity).
  • Ability to influence and tolerance of ambiguity.
  • Knowledge of Hyperion, an asset.
