We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to lead requirements gathering, documentation, and process mapping for the development of a next-generation Point-of-Sale (POS) solution on the PAX E700 platform . This role will bridge stakeholders—including engineering, QA, UX, training, and operations—to ensure delivery of a robust, user-friendly POS platform with rich offline and online capabilities, integrated payment methods, and custom features for use in high-volume, event-based retail environments.

REQUIREMENTS GATHERING & DOCUMENTATION

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for all POS features.
  • Translate detailed feature requirements into user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, and wireframes (where applicable).
  • Own and maintain the Product Requirements Document (PRD) for the POS application.

Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for understanding, documenting, and supporting the development of features across the following domains:

  • Integrations : FatPipe, Terminal Manager, Stored Value API, My Accounts
  • Payments & Tenders : Cash, Credit Cards (including NFC and dip), eWallet, Purchase Orders, eGifts, Check, Dollars, Digital Wallets (Apple Pay, PayPal, etc.)
  • Transaction Management : Split payments, refunds, voids, exchanges, partial payments, cancelations
  • Offline & Online Mode Support : Store-and-forward, transaction retries, offline queue reports
  • Diagnostics & Training Tools : Log testing, FAQs, training mode, connectivity checks
  • Item Management : Item uploads, flags, quantities, search (by multiple criteria), QR scan
  • Discounts & Promotions : BOGO, % off, cart-level, item-level, teacher discounts, STF round-ups
  • Receipts : SMS, email, print, reprint, marketing messages
  • Tax Handling : Tax exemption validation, accurate tax calculations across tenders
  • Reporting & Analytics : On-device reports, financial summaries, transaction summaries by session or cashier
  • Platform Support : softPOS, Web Portal, cross-device sync
