Description

Chinook Cardiology currently has a full-time opportunity for a Business and Accounting Assistant to join our team. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager and Senior Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A High School Diploma or GED required, post-secondary education in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, bookkeeping or a related field is considered an asset;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook;
  • Proven bookkeeping experience using QuickBooks an asset;
  • Previous experience working in a medical office setting an asset;
  • Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment;
  • Professional and responsible with sensitive and confidential information;
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), problem-solving and interpersonal skills;
  • Work well in a team environment and individually;
  • Superior attention to detail, discipline, teamwork, time management and organizational skills.
Responsibilities

Support the finance department, business operations and management team on a wide range of administrative functions;

  • File, scan, photocopy assorted documents for all departments as needed;
  • Manage and maintain records database, bookkeeping;
  • Review and edit documents;
  • Inventory management;
  • Bank deposits;
  • Assist with tracking employee attendance and hours for payroll;
  • Medical Billing, account payable and receivable tracking and reconciling;
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and travel arrangements;
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
