Job Summary  The Business and Finance Administrator for the Office of the President coordinates the department’s financial, operational, and administrative functions. This role collaborates with the University’s Director of Fiscal Affairs to execute accurate budgeting, reporting and financial planning, while ensuring compliance with state regulations and institutional policies and procedures. Serving as a key liaison among departments and stakeholders, the position promotes efficient operations, resolves complex issues, and provides financial and business support to units such as Government Relations, Intercollegiate Athletics, Internal Audit, University Counsel, University Compliance, and University Marketing and Communications.  Core responsibilities include monitoring budgets and expenditures, maintaining financial records within the institution’s ERP system, processing payments and contracts, managing procurement activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and procedures. The position also oversees personnel-related processes, including vacancy, stipend, audit, and hiring approvals, while handling highly confidential information with discretion. Other duties are performed as needed in collaboration with both the Chief of Staff and the Special Assistants to the President to support the strategic goals of the Office of the President Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  * Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, fiscal management, budgeting, and Extensive knowledge of fiscal management and reporting, budgeting, and procurement practices. * Knowledge of university and state regulations and procedures. * Strong ability to analyze budgets, monitor expenditures, and provide strategic recommendations. * Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. * Ability to problem-solve independently, make data-driven decisions under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Ability to review work thoroughly to ensure accuracy and compliance.  Required Qualifications  * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration Management, or a related field and three (3) to five (5) years of relevant, progressively responsible experience.  Compensation & Benefits * Job Family – Administrative Business Management 2 * Market Range - 8 Salary Schedules [https://www.etsu.edu/human-resources/pay/paytables.php] * For information on benefits, please visit Employee Benefits [https://www.etsu.edu/human-resources/benefits/] Application Instructions and additional details * Exempt positions are only required to be posted for a minimum of fourteen (14) calendar days.
