Our Technical, Advisory, and Capability (TAC) practice and Team Downer serves as one of the Major Service Providers delivering above-the-line consulting services and Integrated Work Packages across the Department of Defence, leveraging innovative approaches such as mission and digital engineering to enable the successful delivery of critical Defence programs. This includes engagement with key areas across Defence including Defence Digital Group (DDG), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), and the Navy, Army, and Air Force.
We are continually seeking skilled Business Analysts and Intelligence Analysts for our consulting services and Integrated Work Packages.

If successful in securing a role, your work may involve:

  • Investigating and analysing complex business problems to determine effective business solutions.
  • Developing and documenting business requirements and process improvements.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across Defence to ensure capability alignment and project success.
  • Applying structured methods to specify effective business processes using both predictive and adaptive approaches.
  • Supporting key program milestones including Gate Reviews, Capability Release phases, and Operating Capability stages.

Our work is highly complex and confidential , applicants must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV2 security clearance. Additionally, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be necessary. In some cases, this may impose restrictions individuals who are dual citizens, permanent residency, or former nationality of specific countries as outlined in ITAR 126.1.

We are seeking candidates with defence industry experience in the follow areas:

  • Strong experience in Business Analysis or Intelligence Analysis within Defence, government, or professional services.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications (e.g., BABOK, CBAP, Agile, PRINCE2).
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a complex project environment.
