We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven business leader to lead the Business and Partnership team for Apple Music Japan. In this role, you will apply your strategic thinking, industry expertise, and analytical skills to accelerate Apple’s music business and deepen partnerships across Japan’s music ecosystem. DESCRIPTION The ideal candidate is a seasoned senior manager with a proven ability to lead, influence, and deliver results across diverse teams and partners. You will oversee the growth of Apple Music’s business in Japan by developing and executing strategies that drive subscriber and revenue growth. This includes setting clear objectives for your team, monitoring performance, providing regular feedback, and ensuring alignment with Apple’s broader business goals. You will cultivate and manage trusted relationships with leading music partners, artists, and industry stakeholders, identifying new opportunities that accelerates Apple Music’s strategic vision. With a data-driven mindset, you will design and implement innovative initiatives to deepen customer engagement, expand partnerships, and drive business growth. In close collaboration with internal Apple teams, you will navigate complex, cross-functional priorities and ensure that local execution aligns with global strategy. As a leader, you will inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team that thrives on innovation, accountability, and collaboration. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A proven ability to lead and inspire the team, especially in dynamic and fast-paced environments. High integrity and excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to influence all levels. Minimum 15 years of relevant industry work experience on business development, partnership management, management consulting, strategy and planning roles within the mobile internet or digital content industries. Expertise in subscription-based business models, membership programs, and monetization Ability to prioritize and scale subscriber and revenue-driving efforts, and translate data-driven insights, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives into compelling business narratives for internal and external stakeholders. Solid track record of successful project management and business negotiation, working across functions to achieve goals. Deep curiosity and the ability to anticipate trends and future shifts in the digital music market, with fluency in standard business models, technology, and knowledge of the competitive landscape. BA/BS degree PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MBA is a plus
