Description
The Business Architecture Advisor for the Claims System Modernization translates business strategy into solutions and integrates the needs of the business lines. The advisor ensures synergy and alignment of solutions with other enterprise architecture dimensions. The advisor will work with the team on the target solution based on the business sector vision and propose solutions that align with the sector’s priorities. Key Responsibilities Design and document business architecture for initiatives under their responsibility Recommend optimal initiative breakdown and delivery sequencing Ensure alignment of initiatives with enterprise architecture targets Contribute to cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments of proposed business opportunities and initiatives Coordinate the actions of key stakeholders involved in business architecture mandates Advise, support, and influence the organization from a continuous improvement and innovation perspective Lead workshops and provide leadership on assigned initiatives Ensure adherence to the defined scope of work Ensure alignment with the architecture team regarding solutions, directions, decisions, and issues Requirements Skills Exceptional communication skills and ability to simplify complex concepts Strong strategic vision and solid executive advisory experience Ability to influence teams regarding industry best practices and stakeholders interacted with Customer-oriented Results-oriented Required Knowledge and Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of experience in business architecture, including 5 years in property and casualty insurance Practical experience in claims Experience in large-scale projects/programs Autonomous leadership in managing business architecture mandates Experience leading and facilitating executive workshops Strong executive-level communication and writing expertise in an influential role Knowledge of the Guidewire/Claims ecosystem Experience as a business architect in large projects involving multiple system integrations Will also work on files involving integrations with Policy, Billing, Finance, Customer, etc. Knowledge of the insurance and claims industry Ability to write business needs and business requirements Ability to produce business architecture documentation Ability to support business analysts by coaching them on writing requirements, validating their analysis documents, and providing direction Ability to prepare positioning papers and present them to project committees Bilingual
