Internal Audit The Internal Audit Division at TD Bank provides independent and objective assurance to management and the board regarding the bank’s risk and control environment. As the third line of defense, Internal Audit helps protect stakeholders by evaluating and improving TD’s operations. The team has a broad view across all areas of the bank, offering independent opinions on risks and controls to support business success. The Internal Audit team assesses key elements of the Bank's governance, risk management, and internal control processes, especially around compliance, laws and regulations, financial reporting, safeguarding, and efficient use of the Bank's assets and resources. Internal Audit is offering in-person internship opportunities in Toronto. JOB DESCRIPTION  Assist in conducting audits for 1st and 2nd line of defenses within the Bank, based on the established audit plans in alignment with applicable policies and regulatory guidelines in a timely fashion  Participate in audit planning and testing of assigned audits while ensuring the completion of appropriate programs and risk assessment to mitigate risks and improve effectiveness across the business  Help prepare audit workpapers, reports, and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.  Collaborate with audit team members and business stakeholders to gather information and clarify processes.  Review and identify failures in internal processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiencies  Stay knowledgeable about emerging trends and developments related to business, analytical tools and techniques to deliver quality results within tight timeframes  Build a fair and positive work environment where team can openly report challenges and exchange ideas, knowledge and skills and maintain good working relationships with each other to achieve common goals  Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards throughout all audit activities.
