Do work that matters We are looking for a passionate and experienced Commercial Lending Business Banker to join our Gold Coast branch. As part of a high-performing team, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to Small Business customers by understanding their business and personal goals, and supporting them through the end-to-end fulfilment of their financial needs. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving business development within the local Gold Coast business community, while also strengthening existing client relationships through premium service delivery. More specifically, you will: Lead meaningful customer conversations to uncover goals and needs, and provide timely, tailored financial solutions. This includes originating products such as commercial lending up to $1.25M, asset finance, merchant facilities, and everyday banking solutions. Proactively engage customers to support both their business and personal aspirations, preparing for conversations with valuable insights. You’ll also be familiar with home ownership solutions available to business customers. Act as a brand ambassador in the local business community, promoting CBA’s business banking proposition. You may also host small business education events to support financial wellbeing. Attend key stakeholder meetings regularly to raise awareness of Small Business Banking services, build referral partnerships, and address service challenges collaboratively. We want to hear from you if you have Experience in commercial lending or B2B sales Home lending exposure Strong financial analysis skills and commercial acumen Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills Proven ability to engage customers both face-to-face and remotely Experience managing a pipeline of opportunities and facilitating proactive customer contact Passion for Small Business customers or direct experience in running a Small Business FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation Credit Approval Authority (CAA) Level 2, or willingness to obtain within 6 months Formal training to support home lending discussions, such as Cert IV in Banking Services (preferred) Our culture At CommBank, we’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce reflecting the customers, businesses and communities we serve.
