JOB DESCRIPTION
Business Banking Post Underwriters coordinate the pre-closing conditions of Business Banking Conventional, Healthcare and Agricultural loan packages in compliance with policies and procedures, regulatory guidelines and investor standards by gathering and reviewing necessary documents and information within designated time frames. Communicates with underwriting, internal sales and documentation partners, legal counsel, title companies, etc. to respond to inquiries, resolve problems and obtain additional documents needed to complete the file. Ensures compliance with internal policies, regulatory and investor requirements and customer service standards.
This is an operations position, not a credit underwriting role.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Typically six to eight years of relevant experience
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Thorough knowledge of closing conditions used to support applicable loan processing
- Knowledge of loan documents – both internally prepared and attorney prepared
- Ability to work with internal partners to solve complex documentation needs
- Ability apply critical thinking for all elements of loan documentation
- Ability to master the bank’s internal software
- Advanced knowledge of closing policies and procedures, post underwriting requirements, governmental and agency requirements, terminology and automated processing systems (AFS, nCino, & CLW)
- Ability to work effectively and accurately in a fast paced, high production, professional environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there’s an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
