SPECIAL CHALLENGES

NAM is transitioning to an organization where buying activities are executed by the frontline, such as work preparators or project engineers. The incumbent is expected to support and actively work on this transition, continuously coaching and advising stakeholders.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

At NAM, we have rich heritage as leading oil and gas producer in the Netherlands. As we look towards mid-2025, we are embarking on an exciting new chapter. While divesting a significant part of our offshore assets, our commitment to excellence remains unwavering. As the largest operator in the basin, we continue to operate our onshore and offshore assets safely and responsibly. Additionally, we are frontrunner in effectively decommissioning assets that have ceased production.
Our Agile operating model has transformed our business into one that delivers value in a resource-constrained and rapidly changing environment. Our Compass values — urgency, simplicity, unity, courage and humility — guide us in creating great and inclusive workplace. Aplace where everyone feels valued, takes pride in their work and enjoys the company of their colleagues.
We aim to become one of the most diverse and inclusive organizations, where everyone feels respected and has strong sense of belonging. We encourage anyone interested in this position to apply, even if you don’t meet all the requirements. Don’t let the fact that this position is posted as full-time discourage you; we are open to resourcing this position on part-time basis

WHAT’S THE ROLE

The Business Buyer supports the business or function by procuring goods and services for the asset or function, leveraging all available buying channels while reducing overall third-party spend.
