REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience working with Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV) in a functional capacity.
  • Proven experience in delivering full lifecycle Business Central implementations.
  • Strong understanding of core modules including Finance, Inventory, Projects, and Manufacturing.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills with the ability to lead discovery sessions and articulate business benefits.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative in a startup-style team within a larger business.
  • Availability to work from Galway office 1–2 days per week.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Industry experience in Manufacturing and/or Construction sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of SME requirements and challenges when adopting Business Central.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform or integrations with third-party solutions.
  • Interest in developing into a Service Line Lead or Team Manager role.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) Functional Consultant to help shape and grow a brand-new service line within a well-established digital transformation consultancy. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of Business Central delivery within a company that is expanding its Microsoft offerings across Ireland. The ideal candidate will bring deep functional expertise, industry experience, and a growth mindset to help us build and scale a dedicated Business Central practice long-term.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead client workshops to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Configure and implement Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions across finance, operations, and supply chain modules.
  • Deliver functional design documents, test plans, and user training.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Business Central engagements with clients.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including scoping and proposal development.
  • Identify opportunities for service line improvement, innovation, and growth.
  • Contribute to the development of internal IP, delivery frameworks, and best practices.
