The Opportunity: As the Business Change Analyst, you will play a key role in driving organisational and digital transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency, improve user experience, and embed sustainable change across the business. You will work closely with both the Change Specialist and Digital Transformation Specialist to support the design, implementation, and measurement of enterprise change programs — ensuring people remain at the centre of every transformation. With a strong focus on digital enablement, process improvement, and automation (via tools such as Nintex, Power Platform, and Power BI), you will identify opportunities to streamline workflows, optimise business processes, and enable greater adoption of digital solutions. As a valued member of the Business Improvement Team, you will contribute to building a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, strengthening change capability and engagement across ADSS. This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position. Responsibilities The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to: 1. Business Change Strategy and Analysis Support the design and implementation of enterprise change strategies aligned with organisational and digital transformation goals. Collaborate with the Change, and Digital Transformation Specialists to define measurable outcomes, milestones, and key success indicators. Conduct analysis of business processes to identify change impacts, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement; process re-engineering where required. Integrate data and insights into change planning to inform prioritisation and decision-making. 2. Business Change Implementation Assist in the delivery of change and continuous improvement initiatives, particularly those involving digital systems, process automation, and workflow optimisation. Support the deployment of automation and efficiency tools such as Nintex, Power Automate, and Power Apps. Monitor change adoption progress, identify risks or resistance, and recommend mitigations. Translate strategy into actionable improvement activities aligned with the GS APAC Business Improvement Plan. Provide integration and change support for new business acquisitions or technology rollouts. Support the Business Improvement Committee and contribute to progress reporting and insights. 3. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Partner with Communications, People & Culture, and IT to co-design holistic change and engagement plans. Act as a change liaison across departments, ensuring alignment and consistency of messaging. Contribute to fostering a supportive and inclusive change culture where employees feel informed, engaged, and valued. 4. Business Change Impact Assessment Conduct impact assessments to understand the effects of change on people, processes, and systems. Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies, providing insights to inform effective change interventions. Support digital readiness and adoption assessments for upcoming technology or process changes. 5. Communication, Learning & Support Develop and deliver engaging communication materials and visual presentations using PowerPoint, Canva, or similar tools. Support the design and delivery of training, learning, and reinforcement activities to embed change. Translate technical or process information into clear, people-friendly communication. Ensure consistent messaging throughout all stages of the change journey. 6. Culture and Continuous Improvement Champion continuous improvement and innovation within business processes and systems. Support initiatives that strengthen digital literacy, change resilience, and employee engagement. Assist in establishing and maintaining a Change Management Community of Practice. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve data-driven decision-making. 7. Measurement and Evaluation Develop and maintain reporting frameworks to measure outcomes, track benefits/ value realisation and adoption rates. Analyse performance data to ensure benefits/ value realisation and stakeholder feedback to evaluate change effectiveness. Prepare dashboards and summary reports that communicate insights, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Essential: Experience supporting digital transformation, enterprise change, or continuous improvement initiatives. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify insights, and propose practical solutions. Critically think about the implications of business/ technology change and its data Understand the "why" behind the business change to ensure solutions deliver business value Strong understanding of change management principles, frameworks (e.g., ADKAR), and stakeholder engagement methods; Prosci Certification (or equivalent) desirable. Practical experience with Nintex, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI), or similar workflow automation tools. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage people at all levels. Proficiency in developing clear and engaging visuals, reports, and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint. Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities. Passion for teamwork, people engagement and driving meaningful business improvement. Desirable Tertiary qualifications in business, management, technology, or process improvement disciplines. Experience in Defence, infrastructure, or government environments. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or Design Thinking principles. Experience in supporting geographically dispersed teams or multi-site environments. Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Baseline/NV1).
