BUSINESS CONTINUITY CONSULTANT - OPERATIONAL RESILIENCE PROGRAM:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Business Continuity Consultant - Operational Resilience Program for a 12 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

BUSINESS CONTINUITY CONSULTANT - OPERATIONAL RESILIENCE PROGRAM - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Business Continuity Consultant will support the development, execution, and continuous improvement of scenario exercises within bank’s Operational Resilience Program. This position focuses on testing the bank’s ability to respond to business disruptions and involves collaboration with internal teams to ensure exercises are well-structured and findings are actionable.

BUSINESS CONTINUITY CONSULTANT - OPERATIONAL RESILIENCE PROGRAM - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Ability to analyze and synthesize detailed information into concise reports for a senior audience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar field either within a consulting firm or risk management.
  • Strong skills in plain language writing and design.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills for effective presentations.
  • Strong consulting skills to understand stakeholder needs.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including basic formula Vlookup.
  • Communication and presentation skills.

BUSINESS CONTINUITY CONSULTANT - OPERATIONAL RESILIENCE PROGRAM – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in Financial Institutions, preferably Big 5 Banks.
  • Knowledge of Business Continuity Management/Operational Resilience.
  • CBCP/DRI certification (ABCP, CBCP, AMBCI).
  • Comfort level with some technology or systems.
  • College/University degree.
Responsibilities
  • Design and coordinate scenario exercises to test critical operations.
  • Track and document exercise outcomes and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Work with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure exercises meet regulatory requirements.
  • Present findings and action items to executive audiences.
  • Participate in the design phase, testing exercises, and post-exercise debriefs.
