Business Continuity Management Expert (Warsaw, 40% remote) – EU Public Organisations Profile: Business Continuity Management Expert (BCME) (BCMS, ISO 22301 Compliance, Task Force Coordination, Governance Support, Audit Readiness, Documentation and Evidence Management). Securiy Clearance: Not applicable. Place of performance: Frontex Headquarters in Warsaw. 60% onsite + 40% remote. Candidates must be based within two hours of Warsaw. Duration of the mission: 48 months. Award criteria: 50% Price / 50% Quality Minimum level of education: Level 7. Minimum English language skills (CEFR): C1. Minimum IT relevant professional experience (years): 3 years. Minimum experience at similar position (years): 2 years in relevant IT roles. Rate: The rate offered depends on the candidate’s level, in accordance with the Frontex’s public grading system. Further details are available upon discussion · Expected NWH: 220 days x 4 years. · Expected EWH: 20 days x 4 years Required certificates The following certifications are required: · ITIL® 4 Foundation (or higher, e.g. Managing Professional) or equivalent certification. Alternatively, minimum 1 additional year of IT relevant professional experience above the required minimum in IT Service Management, IT operations, or support to critical IT services may be accepted as equivalent. · Business Continuity Management – Foundation or equivalent certification. Alternatively, minimum 2 additional years of experience above the required minimum at similar position may be accepted as equivalent. · Business Analysis certification at foundation/entry level (e.g. ECBA, UML Professional, BPM 2 or equivalent, or higher levels such as CCBA, CBAP, etc.) or equivalent certification. Alternatively, minimum 1 additional year of experience above the required minimum in business analysis or process analysis may be accepted as equivalent. · PRINCE2® Foundation or PM² (PM Square) certification or equivalent certification. Alternatively, minimum 1 additional year of IT relevant professional experience above the required minimum may be accepted as equivalent. · At least one (1) certification from the list above is mandatory and cannot be compensated with professional experience. If at least one certification is provided, the remaining certifications may be compensated with relevant professional experience. · Any equivalent certification must be internationally recognized and subject to acceptance by the Contracting Authority. Knowledge and skills Specific expertise: · Extensive practical experience in Business Continuity Management. · Excellent knowledge of Business Continuity Management frameworks, processes, strategy development, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity Plans (BCP), Recovery Time Objective (RTO), Recovery Point Objective (RPO), Critical Business Functions (CBF), etc. · Advanced knowledge of risk management frameworks, assessments, analysis, mitigation strategies, methodologies, tools, standards, guidelines, and best practices. · Knowledge and experience in data consolidation and data analysis. · Knowledge of business analysis, business process modelling, and modelling notations/tools such as UML and BPMN. · Knowledge in applying project management methodologies and methods. · Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and project lifecycle phases. · Practical knowledge of administrative tools such as Microsoft Office and related applications. Typical tasks and responsibilities Business Continuity Management support: · Performing baseline analysis of BCMS documentation. · Supporting BCMS integration activities across the organization. · Identifying gaps and proposing improvement actions related to BCMS processes and documentation. Data analysis and quality assurance: · Consolidating and analysing BCMS-related data. · Performing consistency and alignment controls across documentation and processes. · Ensuring quality assurance and document standardisation. Documentation and governance support: · Drafting, reviewing, and consolidating BCMS documentation and evidence. · Supporting governance activities and audit readiness initiatives. · Providing administrative and operational support to the BCMS Task Force. · Other specific duties as assigned by team leader. Travel: By default, travelling in the interest of service is not foreseen for this position/profile.
Responsibilities
The expert will support the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) by performing baseline analysis, identifying gaps, and ensuring documentation alignment. They will also provide governance support, manage evidence for audit readiness, and assist the BCMS Task Force.
