Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Business Continuity Management Specialist and reporting to the Senior Manager Risk & Compliance Services you are responsible for assisting business units to implement, maintain and test business continuity and other resiliency plans focusing on critical business functions.
You’ll get to:
- Engage with business units across the conduct of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) workshops to identify critical business processes, timeframes and dependencies.
- Complete Business Continuity Plan (BCP) activities and with your technical and subject matter expertise add value with a continuous improvement approach, curiosity and drive to support the business objectives.
- Assess, provide input and support on information relating to issues which impact Business Continuity Management (BCM)
- Build relationships with all levels of management across the Bank and work closely with Business Continuity Management, Technology and various business units and across 1LOD risk and compliance teams.
To be successful in the role you have:
- Demonstrated business continuity knowledge & experience including understanding of the Business Continuity Lifecycle, BIA, BCP and BCM.
- Understanding of requirements under CPS 232 and CPS 230
- Knowledge and experience using Operational Risk Management and Frameworks
- Experience in Banking with a diverse knowledge of banking operation, products and processes preferred
- Strong verbal and writing communication skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with all levels of the business
- Methodical approach with high attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to deliver on project
