About the role
Benefact Group, are looking for a Business Continuity Manager to join our Gloucester office to manage the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework.
This role ensures the organisation is prepared to respond to and recover from disruptive incidents, in compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. FCA, PRA, Solvency II) and alignment with industry best practices. This role is a key component supporting the overall Operational Resilience Framework and the role encompasses overseeing Group’s arrangements for Incident Management and Disaster Recovery.

What you’ll be doing
Lead the development and integration of Business Continuity and Operational Resilience strategies, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards (e.g. ISO 22301, FCA/PRA, Solvency II) and organisational objectives.
Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and identify critical services and dependencies to inform continuity planning across all business units.
Design, implement, and maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans, coordinating approvals and ensuring readiness through regular testing and simulations.
Actively manage crisis response and incident coordination, serving as a key member of the Crisis Management Team and collaborating with internal teams and third-party vendors.
Provide leadership, training, and subject matter expertise, influencing stakeholders at all levels and embedding resilience practices throughout the organisation.
What you’ll need to have
Proven experience in leading Business Continuity, and Operational Resilience functions within general insurance or financial services
Strong knowledge and understanding of Business Continuity and Operational Resilience practices and experience with ISO 22301 or similar BCM standards
Excellent crisis management and communication skills, with proven experience of leading Incident Response teams during disruption events
Experience in/ capable of working and communicating with colleagues at all levels, including Senior Management, using knowledge, experience and credibility to influence and lead change
Strong analytical and project management capabilities
Strong knowledge of UK regulatory requirements (FCA, PRA, Solvency II)
Experience working with third-party risk and supply chain resilience
What makes you stand out
A self-starter, able to work independently to drive forward existing processes and opportunities for further development and increased maturity
Degree in Risk Management, Business, IT, or related field.
Professional certifications such as CBCI, MBCI, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer or Auditor.
Professional qualifications relevant to financial services (e.g. CII, ACII)
Project management certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP)
