Embarking within MCB’s Risk Strategic Business Unit (SBU) is an exciting opportunity and establishes a solid foundation for a career in banking. By joining Business Continuity & Resilience BU as Business Continuity & Resilience Executive, you will be called upon to contribute in the design, implementation and maintenance of an effective business continuity management framework for MCB Group. We are on the lookout for: Job Vacancy: Business Continuity & Resilience Executive In this role you will: • Framework Design & Implementation: Drive the end-to-end design and implementation of a robust Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Operational Resilience framework across MCB. This includes leading Business Impact Analyses (BIA), developing resilience strategies, and defining comprehensive Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for the critical departments and mission-critical activities of the Group. • Technology Resilience Oversight: Oversee the design and effectiveness of Disaster Recovery strategies to ensure IT service continuity aligns with business risk appetite, recovery objectives, and regulatory resilience standards. • Testing, Simulation & Validation: Establish and execute a comprehensive testing and simulation program to validate recovery capabilities and provide independent assurance that MCB can maintain critical services during a disruption. • Crisis Management & Advisory: Act as a central coordinator during crisis invocations, facilitating communication between the Recovery Teams, Business Units and the Executive Crisis Teams. Serve as the subject matter expert for Business Units on contingency measures, regulatory queries, and emerging resilience best practices. • Independent Oversight & Reporting: Provide independent oversight, continuous monitoring, and structured reporting on MCB’s resilience posture to the appropriate governing bodies and committees. Ensure ongoing alignment with international standards (such as ISO 22301) and evolving regulatory mandates. We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of: Either • A completed Degree in Banking & Finance/Business Administration/Risk Management or Information Technology; • At least 5 years’ previous working experience in Risk Management/Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery/Crisis Management or equivalent discipline, preferably in the banking sector. Or • At least 7 years’ equivalent working experience in Risk Management/Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery/Crisis Management or equivalent discipline, preferably in the banking sector. And • Previous experience in Project Management as an advantage; • Certification in Business Continuity Management as an advantage; • A good understanding of IT systems and Disaster Recovery concepts.
