Business Controller
Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Finance, this individual will be responsible to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.

A successful candidate must be able to:

• Develop budgets, forecasts and monthly reporting & analytics including margin and variance analysis.
• Serve as liaison between assigned business and all shared accounting teams. Train business staff to review cost reporting and become self-reliant in accounting processes including A/P and A/R / Billing
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Prepares month end accounting entries for assigned business(es).
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures and business processes including budgets, forecasts and monthly reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule and with 100% accuracy.
• Prepare month end balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned accounts.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and business reporting.
• Prepare documentation for external auditors
• Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
• Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
• All other duties and projects as assigned

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.

Qualifications:

• Proven at least 5-8 years of experience in accounting or finance
• 5 plus years of experience in a leadership position
