Position Overview This role serves as the strategic financial partner for a global industrial division, shaping financial direction through strong FP&A leadership, commercial insight, and data-driven decision support. The Business Controller works closely with divisional leadership to drive planning, forecasting, profitability analysis, and performance optimization. The position emphasizes strategic business influence over traditional accounting controllership, focusing on economic modeling, commercial performance, and forward-looking financial management to support growth, margin expansion, and operational execution. Major Responsibilities Drive a holistic financial insight for Sales, Bookings, and Business Development, turning data into clear guidance for growth decisions. Lead core FP&A processes, including budgets, forecasts, reporting, to influence strategy and commercial performance. Own divisional P&L accuracy and transparency, ensuring strong alignment with business and corporate goals. Improve cost efficiency across Sales, Marketing, and R&D to strengthen margins and support scalable growth. Partner with leadership as a strategic advisor, identifying risks, opportunities, and performance levers. Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX standards across all financial workflows. Enhance financial systems and data quality to boost reporting speed, automation, and decision support. Requirements Advanced degree in Economics or Finance (MBA strongly preferred); CPA is a plus but not required. Strong FP&A foundation with the ability to translate financial insights into business strategy. Solid understanding of US GAAP, SOX, and core accounting principles without needing to be a classic accountant. Experience (8–10 years) driving financial performance, pricing, forecasting, and commercial decision support within industrial or manufacturing environments. Skilled in partnering with sales, operations, and business development teams to influence revenue growth and operational efficiency. Confident, clear communicator who can present financial narratives to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Comfortable navigating tight deadlines, high-pressure situations, and shifting business priorities. Detail-oriented with strong analytical judgment and the ability to connect financial data to business outcomes. Willing to travel as needed to engage directly with plant operations and business leaders. Benefits null
