Job Description We are currently looking for a Business Controller for the Philippines,who will be the strategic finance partner responsible for end-to-end financial planning, analysis, reporting, and business performance management. This role partners closely with commercial, operations, and leadership teams to drive data-driven decision-making, optimize profitability, monitor budget adherence, and ensure robust financial governance across the business. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills with business acumen and cross-functional collaboration capabilities. Your key role: 1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead annual budgeting and monthly rolling forecast processes Prepare and present management reports, P&L / balance sheet / cash flow analysis, and KPI dashboards Analyze revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and profitability by business unit, product, and channel Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities; deliver actionable insights to senior leadership Support long-term strategic planning and business case development for new initiatives 2. Business Performance & Cost Management Monitor actual performance vs. budget / forecast; conduct variance analysis and root-cause investigation Drive cost optimization, efficiency improvement, and margin enhancement initiatives Track and report on key commercial and operational metrics to support business growth Partner with sales and operations teams to review performance, pipeline, and profitability 3. Financial Reporting & Compliance Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant monthly/quarterly/annual financial close and reporting Maintain internal controls and support audit processes (internal & external) Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for leadership and stakeholders 4. Cross-Functional Partnership Act as a trusted finance business partner to department heads and operational leaders Support commercial decision-making including pricing, contracts, discounts, and project evaluation Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain to align financial and business objectives Drive process improvement and automation within finance and business operations 5. Special Projects Lead ad-hoc financial analysis, modeling, and special projects as assigned by senior management Support M&A, investment appraisal, and business expansion activities Drive digitalization and automation of financial processes and reporting Awareness of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards Qualifications Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, related field; CPA / ACCA / CMA / CFA certification is a strong plus Profound knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and management accounting Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Onestream, Siebel, CRM) and BI tools (Power BI) is highly preferred Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines -Business-oriented mindset with the ability to translate financial data into operational recommendations Experience: Minimum 5 years progressive experience in Finance Planning and Accounting, Business Controlling, Financial Analysis or Corporate Finance Expected competencies and skills: Strategic thinking & business acumen Strong analytical rigor and attention to detail Excellent cross-functional collaboration Results-driven and proactive High integrity and ethical judgment Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders Additional Information What we offer you: In return, we can offer you exciting and challenging Business Controller position and flexible working environment to form a part of the Konecranes (PH) Inc, you will create value added support locally and in delivering services as per our Lifting People Strategy.
