We have an immediate opening for Business Controller, Operations Your role The role is responsible for providing financial leadership, analysis, and strategic support to optimize operational efficiency and supply chain performance. This role ensures accurate financial planning, costing, accounting, reporting, and decision-making to drive cost competitiveness, improve working capital, and support overall business objectives both on local and group level. The role proactively translates findings into corrective and collaborative improvements, suggestions and plans. Responsibilities Business control Act as a business partner to operations management, providing actionable recommendations Drive initiatives to improve cost efficiency and working capital Provide financial insights for make-or-buy decisions, supplier negotiations, and capacity planning Develop and maintain financial models for operations and supply chain performance Forecasting and budgeting Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for operations and supply chain functions together with responsible business partners Provide feedback with proposals on corrective actions to individual managers Participate in group forecast and budget reviews Accounting and reporting Monitor and analyze cost structures, inventory levels, and procurement spend Provide ad-hoc analysis and reports on operations and supply chain financials Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies Participate in local and group companies’ periodic accounting and closing processes Support local financial management team, potentially acting as backup for local Finance Manager Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for management review Development Participate in performance improvement activities within operations and supply chain Participate in processes and systems development projects and activities, particularly related to financial but also operational processes and systems What we expect Required: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or other related field Min 5 years of experience in business controlling, preferably in operations or supply chain of manufacturing company Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to efficiently analyze results, variances and provide support in creating solutions for identified issues Solid understanding of cost accounting and reporting, inventory management, and working capital optimization Good team player with ability to work independently Hands-on attitude, flexibility and adaptability Ability to handle confidential information reliably Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Fluent oral and written Chinese and English Preferred: Background in business control for global multi-site operations Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies Familiarity with BI tools (e.g. Power BI) Location This position is based either in Beijing China, with close collaboration with our global teams.
