REQUIREMENTS:

• +2 years of relevant professional experience
• B.Sc. or higher within finance or accounting
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Advanced user in Excel and Power point and skilled in handling data
• Knowledge of financial planning processes
• A good understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements
• Driven, humble, supportive in nature and open to feedback
• Excellent written and spoken communication in English and Finnish
• Retail experience is a plus
• Microsoft Dynamics knowledge is an advantage
• Integrity, credibility and ability to work under pressure
• Good communicator: Efficient in communicating qualitative findings and confident in coaching others in finance decisions

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Business Controller for Partioaitta you support the management team and business partners with financial, commercial and strategic insights and decisions. The role is a full-time position based in Helsinki, Finland. The job starts beginning of October and is a substitution until end of June 2026. You will report to the Segment Controller of Frilufts Retail and belong to the Frilufts Retail controlling group consisting of 5 colleagues in Europe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensuring timely, accurate and transparent financial and operational reporting
• Analyzing the business areas’ financial performance and compiling monthly and quarterly reporting
• Act as business partner working closely with business management to monitor business development vs. plan and contributing to achievement of business objectives
• Develop, monitor, and set KPI targets to ensure that the overall business and financial goals of the company is on-track
• Leading budget and forecast within the business areas and markets
• Drive initiatives to improve profitability. Analyze sales and opex to be able to suggest and drive actions to improve sales and profitability
• Performing ad-hoc business analysis and business cases
