Description
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Business Controller to join our Finance Team in Italy. As a Business Controller you will be the primary sparring partner for the Contract Logistics lead at our new Bologna site in Italy and will have oversight on all financial matters relating to this business unit. In this position you can be based in Bologna or Milan. How you will contribute Oversee all financial matters in the assigned area of responsibility including profitability analysis on all required levels, budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis vs. budgets and forecasts. Timely preparation of monthly reporting packs, analyse results and report in line with standardized monthly financial reporting and group requirements. Compliance with corporate and IFRS accounting requirements. Support Operations / Commercials with financial analysis in contract negotiations. Adding value to the organization by metrics of measurement / KPI’s / … for decision making and efficiency improvement of the operations. Support country back-offices and regional shared services. Manage Working Capital efficiently. Support capex decisions with analysis and valuation. Improve and automate reporting such that non added value time is reduced to a minimum. Timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial MBR packs. Preparation of Annual Budget and Quarterly Latest View files in conjunction with the local operations team. Business Partner to operations and sales team. Be a key contact in the annual and interim financial audits. What you will bring Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance/Accounting or Business Administration. Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role. Experience in a management function within the accounting / finance area and within the logistics industry, especially in Contract Logistics in the countries of responsibility Fluent in Italian and English and strong communication skills. Flexible and able to push the boundaries. The ability to work on your own within a very demanding environment and support local operation team, who can develop into a well-respected business partner. Reliable and with integrity. Entrepreneurial focused with excellent organizational and project management skills. Experience with SAP / Oracle and high level MS Office.
