BUSINESS CONTROLS TESTING:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Business Controls Testing professional for a 16 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

BUSINESS CONTROLS TESTING - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role focuses on compliance regulation, providing support for the wealth testing and monitoring program. The Business Controls Testing professional will engage in planning and executing compliance testing programs, ensuring regulatory compliance controls are identified and documented.

BUSINESS CONTROLS TESTING - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Significant controls testing/audit experience
  • Fully conversant with national/international audit standards
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to draft quality analyses
  • Ability to read and interpret regulations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to recommend solutions
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Project management experience

BUSINESS CONTROLS TESTING – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience in the financial industry, particularly in wealth-related businesses
  • Accounting or Audit Designation (e.g., CPA, CA, CIA)
  • Experience conducting third-party risk assessments
  • CSC/CPH and other relevant industry courses
  • Experience from one of the leading FI organizations
Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute compliance testing programs and communicate results
  • Identify and document regulatory compliance controls
  • Prepare documentation in accordance with established policies and standards
  • Track work efforts versus budgets and develop monitoring activities
  • Provide recommendations for control improvements
  • Ensure key regulations and changes are captured in testing programs
  • Lead testing engagements and review the work of other testers
  • Collaborate with business units and contribute to team processes
