About the Role You will join our Estate Management team within Government House Sydney, supporting the delivery of corporate and operational services within a unique and high-profile environment. As the Business Coordinator, you will be central to the smooth day-to-day running of Government House. You will provide high-quality administrative and financial support, coordinate procurement and vendor activities, manage key business systems and records, and help drive practical improvements to processes and service delivery. Working closely with stakeholders across Government House and the Premier’s Department, you will ensure services are delivered professionally, accurately and in line with government policy and compliance requirements. This role suits someone who is highly organised, solutions-focused and confident managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the operations of Government House Sydney while supporting the Governor’s constitutional, ceremonial and community responsibilities. Collectively, the five functional areas (Protocol, Household, Estate Management, Communications and Secretariat) ensure that every aspect of the Governor’s and spouse’s programs of official engagements and engagement with the community are appropriately coordinated, managed and planned; that the official residence is suitably maintained; that the administrative arm of the organisation operates in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines; and that the heritage buildings, contents and grounds are managed and presented to the highest standard. We're Looking For Business and Administrative Coordination: Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative, financial or business support in a complex environment, supporting day-to-day operations and corporate functions Financial and Procurement Capability: Experience managing financial processes such as purchasing, invoicing, budgeting or vendor management, with an understanding of compliance and government requirements Organisation and Time Management: Strong ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to build effective working relationships and provide responsive support to a range of stakeholders, including senior staff and service providers Systems and Process Improvement: Experience using business systems (e.g. finance, records or document management systems) and identifying opportunities to improve processes and streamline operations We value diverse experiences.
