OUR TEAM

Our Business Credit Insight and Innovation team plays a pivotal role in shaping our lending strategy across Business lending. We’re looking for a Credit Risk Manager to join our team and help us innovate and continue to grow responsibly while ensuring our lending meets customer needs and regulatory standards.
You’ll lead the regular credit performance review of the business portfolios, presenting to senior stakeholders your findings, positively influencing the strategic direction of the portfolios. You will be responsible for delivering insight into our business portfolio as well as using your experience and expert judgement to drive the strategy. Crucial to this role will be supporting the continued efficiency and improvements to our portfolio insight, delivering timely, accurate and actionable insight to senior committees and external regulators.

Responsibilities
  • Leading a small team who are transforming the landscape for assessing how the performance of the business lending portfolio is managed from a credit risk perspective, implementing new ways of monitoring and identifying trends, strengths and weaknesses of the portfolio, driving efficiency and automation in our approach.
  • Leading the development and recommendation of appropriate Credit Risk Appetite metrics, limits and triggers, ensuring effective engagement across 1st and 2nd LOD.
  • Providing coherent and actionable insight, oversight, and challenge of the credit quality of the business portfolio to a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including senior committees and regulators.
  • Taking ownership of delivering regular deep dives and assessments of portfolio composition and asset quality, leading the engagement across teams as required, ensuring insights are of the highest quality and drive action.
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement, rationalising processes, improving sophistication and addressing complexity across all aspects of managing the portfolio.
  • Deputising for the Credit Risk Manager, supporting all aspects of managing the business lending portfolio.
