POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Business Data Analyst, you will play a key role in enhancing our business performance (Sales & Commercial) by analyzing data, generating insights, and supporting forecasting and planning. This full-time, permanent position involves close collaboration with sales, supply chain, and leadership teams, making it perfect for an analytical thinker ready to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Business Data Analysis: Analyze sales/commercial data by product, region, and channel to track performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Reporting and Dashboards: Create and manage dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools for internal stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Account Support: Assist the National Key Account Manager with in-depth performance reviews for major accounts (e.g., Walmart, Sobeys, Loblaw).
  • Forecasting Collaboration: Work with supply chain and demand planning teams to ensure accurate forecasts and efficient inventory management.
  • Insights Generation: Provide actionable insights to support promotions, pricing strategies, and new product launches.
  • Monthly Reporting: Prepare sales reports, presentations, and business reviews for senior leadership on a monthly basis.
  • Market Monitoring: Track market trends and competitor activities to inform category and trade strategies.
  • Database Management: Maintain and enhance CRM and internal sales databases for optimal functionality.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in sales analysis, data analytics, or commercial planning, ideally in the CPG or food industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions), PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau); experience with CRM or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) is a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of retail and distributor sales environments in the CPG or food sector.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
