Description The Business/Data Analyst supports the Checkpoint Modernization Program Office (CPMO) by gathering, analyzing, and translating business and operational data into actionable insights. This role ensures data-driven decision-making for acquisition planning, performance monitoring, and program risk management across a $1.5 billion modernization portfolio. Key Responsibilities Data Management & Analysis Collect, consolidate, and analyze program, financial, and performance data from multiple modernization projects. Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and risk tracking tools to measure portfolio progress and identify trends. Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to assess cost, schedule, and performance impacts. Business Process & Requirements Support Document and improve business processes, workflows, and data flows to align with CBP modernization goals. Elicit and refine business and functional requirements for acquisition planning, portfolio integration, and reporting tools. Support the preparation of independent government cost estimates (IGCEs) and budget planning data. Acquisition & Program Support Provide data to support market research, acquisition strategy, and contracting milestones. Assist in drafting and maintaining key program documents (e.g., SOWs, PWSs, J&As, risk registers, performance reports). Monitor and document contract modifications, obligations, and key deliverables. Stakeholder Communication Prepare briefings, visualizations, and reports for senior CBP and DHS leadership, ensuring technical data is clearly communicated to non-technical audiences. Support meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements by providing timely data insights and follow-up documentation. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Public Administration, or related field. Experience: 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or program support in a federal or large program environment. Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data management practices. Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of federal acquisition and program management processes. Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or equivalent data analysis tools. Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable recommendations. Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
